In this series, you’ll be able to see all the different seating options available to you, the deluxe hospitality paired with them and all the other details that come only through booking with the Official Provider.
So sit back, relax, and start dreaming of the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks… from the Grandstand!
The View from the Grandstand
The Grandstand offers some of the most prime seating locations within Churchill Downs. With the Grandstand stretching from the far left of Churchill (when you’re looking at the track from Gate 1) toward the middle until it runs into the Clubhouse, there is plenty of space and a variety of seating options available.
Since the Grandstand stretches from right at the rail up to the third floor, there are a variety of vantage points and bonuses to each. For example, you can sit right up on the rail, close enough to hear the horses breathing, the pounding of the hooves and the jockeys urging their mounts to close faster. Or you could sit back just a little further in the 200 level so that your seating is covered and not out in the open. The third option? You could sit in the brand new grandstand at the 300 level with stadium-style seating instead of bleacher-style seating.
Regardless of which section you select, you’ll have incredible views of the final turn, starting line and the finish line is located directly to your right. Plus, even when the horses aren’t in your direct line of sight, the world’s largest video board will be plenty accommodating.
There are several different hospitality possibilities with Grandstand Ticket Packages. Take a look:
Sunny’s Halo Lounge
Commonly paired with Grandstand Aqua and Grandstand Blue packages, Sunny’s Halo Lounge is the brand new rooftop party deck. It’s the only hospitality area where you can watch the races live while enjoying all the VIP perks of being in hospitality.
Within Sunny’s Halo Lounge, you’ll enjoy a one-time lunch buffet, complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks, a cash bar for premium beverages, and meet-and-greets with jockeys and celebrities!
To eliminate all hassles from your Kentucky Derby trip planning, you can opt to include ground transportation to and from Churchill Downs on race days and luxurious accommodations in Louisville in your package!
You’ll also receive a VIP Fast Access Pass for quicker access to Churchill Downs.
This exclusive hospitality area is located in the newly-renovated Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs!
In the Affirmed Lounge, you will be able to attend jockey meet and greets while also enjoying live entertainment, a premium open bar and gourmet food buffets! With live wagering tellers, private restrooms and a climate controlled environment, the Affirmed Lounge is one of the best spots to spend time at during Derby weekend.
