The Kentucky Derby® is without a doubt America’s most iconic horse racing event, appropriately known as “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sport.” It is the first leg of the prestigious Triple Crown™ which is consisted of three races, Kentucky Derby®, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes. Derby Experiences offers a large variety of Official Ticket Packages with seats located in the Grandstand and Clubhouse, today we are highlighting our Grandstand packages, Orange, Rose, Aqua and Blue. By choosing Grandstand seating you can catch all of the action stretching from the racehorses take their first leaps out of the stalls to witnessing their photo-finish. It offers three levels of seating, with options to sit covered and uncovered, granting unobstructed views of the entire race.
Grandstand Orange
Grandstand Orange provides 3rd floor (sections 323, 324, 325), open-air, box seating with elevated views of both the starting line and the final stretch. Additionally, Grandstand Orange Official Ticket Package holders will have access to the Affirmed Lounge a VIP hospitality venue and the exclusive Taste of Derby Party.
Affirmed Lounge
This exclusive premium climate-controlled hospitality venue is located in the Kentucky Derby Museum by Gate 1. Inside the hospitality lounge you will have access to complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks on Oaks Day from 8am-4:30pm and on Derby Day from 8am-5:30pm, cocktails will also be available at an additional cost. In addition to deluxe bar options, there will be an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet from 11:30-2pm, closed-circuit television coverage, live entertainment and wagering tellers.
Grandstand Blue
By choosing Grandstand Blue you will enjoy 3rd floor, stadium-style, uncovered seating. Grandstand Blue guests are seated in section 326. This seating selection provides guests with views of both the starting line and final turn as thoroughbreds’ race into the final stretch towards the finish line. In addition to great seats, Grandstand Aqua and Blue guests are given access to Sunny’s Halo Lounge.
Sunny’s Halo Lounge
Sunny’s Halo Lounge is the perfect in-track hospitality venue for those looking to not miss a beat of the horse racing action. Located on the rooftop of sections 326-328, it’s merely steps away from your seats for you to enjoy this outside, open seating venue. Offering a one-time lunch buffet with beer, wine & soft drinks, snacks for purchase, celebrity jockey meet & greets, and a live betting parlor, guests find themselves having a truly spectacular Kentucky Derby® experience.
Grandstand Rose
Grandstand Rose ticket holders are seated in sections 226, 227, or 228, which have the perfect vantage point for overlooking the start of the race. Grandstand Rose guests will get to witness as the horses take their first leaps out of the starting post and see their final turn as they enter the final stretch of the race. Guests are also given a ticket to Derby Experiences’ Fillies & Lilies Party on the eve of the Kentucky Derby®.
Filies & Lillies Party
As the kick-off party of the Kentucky Derby®, the Fillies & Lilies Party will not disappoint. This exciting and exclusive night in the Kentucky Derby Museum allows guests to enjoy an evening filled with live performances, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a premium open bar, a private bourbon lounge and more! You won’t want to miss this eventful night on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 7:30-11:30pm.
All Grandstand Official Ticket Package holders will be provided with an onsite trip director and VIP fast access passes which allow for a faster more secure access into Churchill Downs® at Gates 1, 10 and 17.
