Churchill Downs Kentucky Derby

We all have a serious affinity for “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports,” but two minutes doesn’t fill up much of a weekend!  A typical two-day weekend spanning Saturday to Sunday leaves approximately 2,878 more minutes to fill, and even more if you count Thursday and/or Friday (which you should).  Filling those countless minutes on Kentucky Derby weekend may seem daunting, especially for those who live outside of Louisville, but Derby Experiences makes it easy to pass the time in lavish venues with impressive guest lists.

Through Derby Experiences, guests can receive exclusive in-track hospitality party venue access!  Three levels of venues are available with Official Ticket Packages from Derby Experiences: Premium, Deluxe and Classic.  Read on to learn more about our premium offerings!

Aristides Lounge

Churchill Downs Aristides LoungeDerby Experiences’ guests are the only racegoers allowed to enter this luxurious in-track climate controlled venue, located on the second floor of the Clubhouse area and just above Gate 17!  Aristides Lounge takes its name from ‘The Big Red Horse’ who won the 1973 Kentucky Derby.  Aristides not only broke the track record for 1 ¼ miles with a final time of 1:59.40, but also ran faster every quarter mile of the race!

Aristides Lounge features comfortable seating, wagering kiosks, cocktails, all-you-can-eat buffets and live entertainment.  Multiple simulcast televisions ensure that you won’t miss a second of the races as you enjoy celebrity jockey meet and greets on Kentucky Oaks or Kentucky Derby days!

Access to Aristides Lounge is available to guests who have purchased either a Clubhouse Gold or Clubhouse Purple package.  Aristides Lounge will be open to guests from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the days of both the Kentucky Oaks and the Kentucky Derby!

Affirmed Lounge

Churchill Downs Affirmed LoungeAffirmed Lounge is an exclusive hospitality party venue located in the Kentucky Derby Museum’s Derby Café and Oaks Garden Tent located at Gate 1!  The Affirmed Lounge is named for the eleventh and second-most recent winner of the Triple Crown (before American Pharoah, of course), who won the 1978 Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes.  Affirmed took the Derby with a final time of just 2:01.20!

Derby Experiences’ guests will enjoy comfortable open seating and a complimentary gourmet lunch as well as unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks.  Cocktails will be available for purchase and this venue is complete with live wagering tellers and the opportunity to mingle with a legendary celebrity jockey on the day of the Derby!

Access to Affirmed Lounge is available to guests who have purchased either a Grandstand Orange: Fillies and Lilies Party or Grandstand Orange: Taste of Derby Party package.  Affirmed Lounge will be open to guests from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the day of the Kentucky Oaks and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the day of the Derby!
